It is usually associated with serious perinatal morbidity and/or mortality as well as significant maternal morbidity and efforts to reduce these has led to the concept of elective single embryo transfer (ESET) in developed countries, this concept has not been entrenched in the practice in Nigeria. We report a case of quadruplet pregnancy following the transfer of three embryos following IVF and reviewed the relevant literature.
